Job Description:

The Charlotte Assisted Living & Memory Care is now accepting applications for a Full Time Administrative Assistant / Scheduler to support our Resident Care Coordinator, Resident Care Director and Executive Director/Healthcare Administrator.

This position provides administrative support for day-to-day operations of the Assisted Living and Memory Care areas of the community. This position is responsible for inter-office communication, scheduling and tasking of Care Services staff, publishing and distributing appropriate paperwork for communication with resident families, quality assurance reports, resident care plans, license renewals, and other campus committees.

Must have prior Office Management/Administrative experience preferably in an ALF or Medical Office environment.

CNA certification preferred. (If you have completed your CNA certification within the past 6 months, you may be eligible for our Education Investment Scholarship Program worth up to $2,500.)

Experience and Skills:

A. Education

- High school graduation or GED required.

- Certification or completed course work in office management desired.

- Coding experience required.

- Medical Records experience required.

- CNA certification preferred.

B. Direct Previous Experience

- Telephone operating and answering experience required.

- Two years' experience in a similar Administrative position in a healthcare setting desired.

- Staff scheduling experience preferred.

C. Skills:

- Ability to work with minimal or close supervision.

- Must conduct all business with a professional manner and with a high level of confidentiality.

- Ability to exhibit efficient computer skills.

D. Abilities:

- Work indoors (fluorescent lights, HVAC system, carpeted flooring, normal office noise levels).

- Climb up to two flights of stairs.

- Lift objects of 25 pounds or less over the head.

- Move objects of 40 pounds or more.

- Ability to work under time-sensitive or stressful situations.

- Respond to medical emergencies on a rare occasion.

- Assist with resident evacuations, if ever required.
